Model Puffers

Clyde Puffers make excellent models. Not too large but full of details. Whether you want a static model for a railway layout or something suitable for voyages on the local boating pond, here is something for everyone. Here is what I hope is a comprehensive list, but if you know of any other kits or plans, please get in touch.

Little puffer

Scale: 1:2500

Cast in pewter, this really is a tiny model. Bought in an eBay auction. Around 17mm in length but really capturing the look of the boats.

Caldercraft - GRP Hull, wood, plastic, whitemetal and brass fittings. Ideal for radio control. 60cm long and very heavy by the time you have it on the water. Very nice to sail though as well as a beauty on the mantlepiece. For more information on this model, read my blog.
